The Series

Standalone bodies of writing โ€” each its own argument, each tracing a thread of the Persian-Zoroastrian inheritance back to its source.

Where the Theological Library is a reference, the Series is a reading list. Each entry is a finished or in-progress book of essays โ€” long-form, cited, composed at its own pace, and complete on its own terms. New series are added when they're ready, not when a calendar says so.

Five Streams, One Fire โ€” The Prehistory of Zoroaster's Religion

Six installments tracing the religion of Zoroaster back through every recoverable layer of its prehistory โ€” from the Proto-Indo-Iranian liturgy documented in the Gathas and the Rigveda, through the BMAC fire-temples, the Steppe pastoral religion of the Yamnaya and Andronovo, the shamanic substrate of the Ancient North Eurasians, and the ten-thousand-year Zagros Neolithic substrate of the Iranian plateau, to the convergence Zoroaster reformed rather than founded.
